HIST 3991 – Environmental History

This was an elective course for my BBA program. I took this course because I was curious and eager to learn about environmental history. It gave me a new perspective on how history has affected our environment. The course made me delve deeper into how my local and family history had shaped the environment.

PHIL 2010 – Introduction to Ethics

Ethics is the philosophical study of ‘the good life,’ or the kind of life that is most worthwhile. It is also the study of our values as well as the values of others. Everyone should know the morality of right and wrong in this world. Environment plays a role in moral cognition. Research has shown that the physical environment affects an individual’s moral judgement, which is needed to live a moral life. I discovered how ethics and environmental sustainability are closely intertwined because environmental challenges include not only technical and scientific considerations but also moral and ethical components. It has changed my perspective on how to think and live morally.
