India is one of the most visited countries for its natural heritage, scenic beauties, beautiful places, mountains and rivers. There’s a saying that if you want to see the entire world but don’t have the opportunity to do so, you can only visit India and claim practically all of it.
The geographic terrain of India is rich and diverse, filled with lush green forests, scenic lakes, majestic mountain peaks, ice-caped mountains, beautiful Himalayas and whatnot. Being a Bangladeshi who lives in India’s neighbouring country has always been a vacation to plan for everyone in Bangladesh. I got my chance to visit India with my parents back in 2018 summer. I was about to go for my studies in Canada, and before going there, my parents gifted me this beautiful tour which I can never really forget ever in my life.
The purpose of our journey was to visit Kashmir. We had to plan our tour keeping Kashmir in my mind because it is a dangerous place. After all, there is always a war going on between the forever rivals India and Pakistan. So, most of the time, Kashmir remains prohibited. Kashmir is referred to as the “Heaven on Earth.” Kashmir’s breathtaking beauty is beyond description. It’s awe-inspiring, majestic, calm, and serene. In Kashmir, we went to the well-known Dal Lake. On Dal Lake, we enjoyed a boat cruise. We also went to a few floating marketplaces. We saw so many ice-capped mountains and were so happy to see those. We even played with ice with our family. That was a happy moment for us. The sunset in Dal Lake is one of the most cherished memory I can recall. It was dangerous to visit Kashmir, but I must say it was worth the risk. We also went to see The World-Famous Monument Taj Mahal in Agra. It is thought to be a love symbol. There were people there from other nations, and even locals who get to see it virtually every year were there to view it because it is so gorgeous that one will always want to go and visit such a magnificent sight. We also saw Qutub Minar, Agra Fort and others there. India is so rich with historical places that maybe even a year will be less to cover all.
Furthermore, we went to visit Shrinagar and Gulmarg. We saw some jaw-dropping scenic beauties there as well. We saw icebergs there. I even rode a horse in the water and mountains. That was pure fun for me. We had some food issues because their eating habits were similar to ours but yet different. Even we could not find regular fast-food items in some places. But then again, so many good memories, we got together it was nothing compared to those.
In my short life, I have travelled to some of the exciting places locally and internationally. I have to be honest in this and claim that my India tour with my family has been the best international tour for me for its natural beauties, majestic scenic heritages, historical places, world-famous monuments and of course Kashmir. I cannot express my gratitude to the Almighty and my parents enough for providing me with such an opportunity to travel throughout the world and see so many beautiful sites that I could exclaim with delight and happiness.
